PVW Resources is a proud ‘Australian owned’ exploration company, working with active gold tenements across a diversified package of land.
Our mission is to seek out established projects with either existing research data or proven success with small scale mining, and then apply our significant commercial experience, advanced assets and capital to rapidly expand the projects to reach feasibility.
We have the team of experienced miners with a history of taking projects from exploration to production – and fast.
Our accumulated advanced assets include over 1,000km2 of land holding with data indicating substantial known high grade gold with current and historic production.
This land includes three substantial prospective tenement assets (PVW Kalgoorlie, PVW Leonora and PVW Tanami) in Western Australia.

OUR TEAM
The PVW team has a track record of quickly accelerating assets to production and intends to leverage existing relationships to rapidly drive PVW to production.
The team comprises experienced mining professionals with an extensive track record of quickly taking projects from exploration to production. Collectively, the team has progressed a number of substantial projects and several smaller projects from exploration to feasibility.
Colin McCavana
Chairman
The Board of PVW is led by Chairman Colin McCavana who has 35+ years experience in the mining sector, having led projects in Australia, Tanzania and the United States. Also Chairman of Reward Minerals and Northern Minerals, Colin oversaw the advancement of Northern Minerals from explorer to producer, and has had positive involvement in 6 gold projects.
Aaron Maurer
Managing Director & CEO
PVW Managing Director & CEO Aaron Maurer was specifically targeted to lead PVW Resources with 20+ years of experience in mine operations. Most recently Aaron held a senior executive role within Mineral Resources and had the full responsibility for the flagship Mt Marion Lithium operation and headed the re-start of Koolyanobbing Iron Ore project.
Karl Weber
Exploration Manager
Karl has over 25 years of experience within a diverse career in gold and base metal exploration. His roles included Geologist, Manager and Country Manager during the discovery of numerous gold deposits including White Foil, Frog’s Leg, and Millrose. Karl has been involved at various levels in the entire process from discovery to production, providing invaluable experience to PVW.
George Bauk
Non Executive Director
George has been Managing Director of Northern Minerals since 2010 and an experienced executive with 25 years in the resources industry including global operational and corporate roles with WMC Resources, Arafura Resources and Western Metals. George has a strong background in strategic management, business planning, building teams, finance and capital/debt raising with a variety of commodities - in particular rare earths and nickel.
